512 kb Adsl, provided by BT, £30 per month ($40?) Pretty expensive, but good, reliable service. What do you guys pay over the pond?

It won't let me choose more then one.Being the option to vote on what I have.

I have DSL 89.99 month

I have Cable 50.00 month
and dialup 9.95 month.

I have 2 dial-ups.
The one I'm using now (the primary one) is $19. a month and average connection is 50,667bps. That's the best you can expect anywhere with dialup. However, when usage is heavy or there is an equiptment failure (server crash or whatever) they like to bump you off. That lead me to get another at $18. It connects at just under 50k. I also use a seperate phone line for internet. I thought about dsl but it is still more than I pay for 2 dial-ups. I have good connections so I'm happy.

I forgot to mention at work we are dsl. I'm not at all impressed.
Maybe it's because of the network but I think it's actually slower than what I have here, except for downloading. Upload is
ssslllloooowwwww.

I voted T1, but I have a point-to-point wireless link, at 2Mbit. (T1 is 1.3Mbit).

Of course the company can't keep it running at much better than dial up speeds, but if I surf at 3 am, it is smokin'. ;)

$40/month

Bi-Directional Satellite, $60 a month. Download speed comparable to cable; upload speed about twice as fast as a modem.

dial up AOL. 24400 is the best I can get. I have an extra phone line because its soooo slooow. Costs about $40/mo for both.

I can't even get cable TV here, much less DSL or any broadband.

They keep telling me it will be availble next quarter. (for the last 4 years).

Earthlink, 56K dialup. Would like DSL but can't afford it at the moment. I bought a modem for my father-in-law's laptop and its pretty fast at 115k. Never seen it any slower than that. The brand is Hawk and I'm going to get one.

Posting in here with Adelphia cable, about 500K/sec download speeds. I've had cable for about 4 years now and don't think I could ever go back to dial up. Is that spoiled or what?

Recently moved locations,
I had aDSL @1.2-1.4m bps, $49.99US/month

Now I have cable @700k bps - 2.2m bps, $24.95US 6 months, then $44.95US/month.

Cable speeds vary at certain times of the day or night, around 5:00-10:00pm speed is at the lowest due to the volume of users online, sharing the line.

aDSL had a consistant speed all the time! Now I am to far from the CO (Central office) to have aDSL!

Depends where I dialup from. When I log on at the shop (714 area code) the site loads up kind of slow, at home (949 area code) it loads up pretty quick. All of my dialup numbers at the shop are slow.
