Your machine may have come with a Parameter Disk and a Manual when it was first purchased. Did you buy this machine used???

You may have to contact the machine tool builder due to the vast number of machines with the same control.

Does the machine start? If it does go to the file manager and browse the hard drive. Someone may have backed the parameters there.

i found that the controller problem is exactly related to windows nt ,because i get the error message "inaccessible boot device"
which is one of the win nt error message, totally i has been advised to overwrite my Aic78xx.sys orAic78xx.001 files in my windows directory(each one has an specific file size)
but the problem is that my arrow 1000 machine has not any floppy drives!! by which i could copy to hard drive!!!(the new files can be extracted from windows Service pack 4 or the emergency boot disk)
does anyone know that where is the hard drive of the control an is that general IDE hard drive?i mean can i connect that to my laptop or pc ? or i need an special convertor?
before recieving this error i get the countdown message which would restore last good configuration by hitting spacebar key ,should i try this?

It is IDE, but don't connect it to a laptop. If you connect it to any OS newer than Windows 98, the newer system will automatically update the NTFS on your hard drive and render it useless to NT, and it can't be restored.

I just went through all of this and you should thoroughly read these 2 threads, and download the Seimens PDF that Laka references.

I have no idea what would happen if you hit the space bar. Have you tried to boot it up multiple times and it still gives you the warning? It is common for the hard drives to go bad on these machines because of all of the vibrations. Mine started acting up similar to yours, but we were able to copy it before it failed completely.

You mean if i connect it to my laptop through the usb convertor it may change the NTFS to FAT?but i don't understand ,becaus i have both FAT and NTFS partitions in my laptop's WinXP!!!
So I must clone it first by ghost and then what should i do with this damaged data that i cloned??!
i actually found that one of the main files related to Windows Nt is damaged, and i should overwrite it with new one in the windows nt files.

(according to this solution in this link:

http://www.computing.net/answers/windows-nt/inaccessible-boot-device-nt4/10009.html)

so can i edit the norton ghost files, and overwrite some new files in the imaged data?

I wonder if one of the popular True Image software packages would do it OK.
I have used Acronis in the past and it has worked like a charm for making up a verbatim copy of H.D's.
For around $40.00 it is would be a cheap answer.
