I am going to start building mine soon.

HAs anyone deviated slightly from the plans, and come up with a better solution for something?

If so then could you please post it!

Hi,

Did you purchase the plans from the main Rockcliff site?
(Router plans?)

I'm debating whether to purchase them or not, just wanting to know whether they're worth buying?

Cheers,

Martin

In my opinion they were worth every penny, but I wish they came with a basic book on CNC milling. Maybe Nick could partner with an author and offer some kind of plan/book combo. Building your first CNC machine can be a lot to wrap your head around if you're a newbie (like me).

I think they are very very good plans!!

I have almost finished my build since starting this thread, I added 3 extra supports horizontally underneath the base, and added an extra gantry brace plate.
I used wood screws and bolts throughout the whole project.

Awesome plans!

Cheers,

I've bought the plans.

GeneralMayhem... I know what you mean.

Do you have any pictures of your build including the mods you have made?
I was looking to build the C Model but I prefer the D Model... what do you think?
I know they will both do exactly the same job...hopefully

The disk has a gallery of builders' photos.

Some of them show variations from the plans.
