Hi
I'm looking for some help here. I've an Syil X4+ and am using BobCad cadcam. Bobcad has a cutting conditions file for setting up surface m/min and mm/tooth for different types of materials. I was trying to adjust this through trial and error but unfortunately I lost the file during an upgarde so now I have to start from scratch again.
(Mostly when milling aluminium I have been guessing and running an 8mm 2 flute slot drill at 2mm depth of cut at about 2000 rpm with a feed rate of 200mm.)
So I was wondering if someone out there would have info for perhaps the following materials
aluminium - what surface m/min and mm/tooth are you using for both Z plunge and X-Y
same figures for soft steel and possibly hard steel as well if you have this info.
It would be great if someone was using Bobcad as well and would share their cutting conditions file with me but that is probably asking too much.
Any info would be appreciated. Feet and inches info will do too and I can convert.
