Hello, I am new to this forum :wee:

Do any of you laser guys have experience cutting Dieboards (18mm Birch Plywood) using hybrid laser systems like Mazak STX/NTX or Amada?

We have a 3kw and 1kw Co2 Lasers system in my factory. Both these machines are fixed optics and moving table type.

We are looking to add a 3rd laser in our factory and we have some space constraints to accommodate another huge laser system with fixed optics.

I look forward to your feedback and advice.

There are small size lasers that will work for cutting the wood you inquired about. You could use 150-400 watts and not have to use a large 3000 watt system. Would save you money as well. PM me for more info.

We are looking for a 2Kw system as we are a commercial diemaker and the laser would run at full production for 8 hours a day.

We also cut 1mm stainless using these machines to manufacture sandwich dies, so a smaller laser would not suit us.

A 400 watt laser can be ran 8 hours a day 7 days a week and will cut your 1mm stainless steel without a problem. Good luck!
