Hi All,
my router dust extraction head is big, bad & damn ugly.
does anybody know where i can source a maybe smaller type unit.
as you will see by the pic if you dare to look the plastic sheet is thick, & after doing a few jobs it just looks like it will give me trouble.
it drags itself around like the HUNCHBACK OF NOTREDAMN.
i have seen some with brushes which seem to glide better.

P.S. please excuse the high tech masking tape holding the tube to the head

thanks
heath

Why not build yourself one? Birch ply will work fine, you can even go acrylic on the lid so you can see what's happening.

I am about to do the same, if you like, I will email you the code when I get it done. I am going to put a couple of those super bright LED clip-on lights on the inside of the hood. Hardware store counter has them for about $3/ea. Figured I'd velcro them on. Also, you should get a reducer for the vac hose, so you can use a smaller wet/dry type hose which is much easier to deal with.

which is a shame i removed the plastic curtain on the dust head.
and have made a brush that goes a round the dust head it is cetainly
less drag, but still a little bit rough.
