I am having a little problem and I was hoping someone could help. My spindle doesn't turn on after a tool change. It only does this every once and awhile, most of the time its great, but it does it enough that you better be standing right there when it changes tools or you a liable to punch a hole rather than drill it. any ideas would be welcome.

I would say check the optical limit switches on your toolchanger, they're probably dirty

If you have a tool eye or work probe it's possible that the spindle thinks you installed it. There is ususally a sensor that tells the PLC to disable the spindle from turning when the probe is installed. I've seen this happen before. You can usually look at your PLC manual in the spindle forward or reverse lines of PLC code and pick the particular bit out that is causing the problem. If any thing, check those lines of code out anyway so that you can trace back the issue.
