I have aquired a large lot of straight shank cnc/nc tool holders and I am trying to identify them. Here is a sample part number:
Erickson Tool #150 btg
bmi c100104..311802
These were used on machinery with a tool changer and have the retention knob on the back. Does the industry designation appear anywhere in this part number? If not, does anyone know a site or some way to identify the item? I have pics if needed.
Thanks...gary moore
Welcome to the forum Gary!
Upload the photos in the ftp section. I'm sure someone will recognise the holders and have the right answers. I'm sorry the name Erickson does not ring a bell....

If nothing else, Erickson tooling is available as a subline from Kennametal.

I didnt know how else to do this so I attached it. I hope I didn't break any rules...thanks...gary
Hi Gary,
HuFlungDung is correct, Kennametal is the only retailer of Erickson tooling. I have a few old Kennametal catalogues at the shop and I'll see if there is any info on your holders. I'll let you know.

I;m not 100% sure but I think the tool holder came out of an White sunstrand Omni mill
Can the retnsion knob be adjusted for differant lengths?
Is the shank 2.000 in diameter?
If yes to both of these then I would be farly confindent with this.

Why yes! The Shaft is exactly 2". and the retention knob has a thin locking nut which probably be used to adjust the length. I was talking to one of the machinists from the plant that they came from and he mentioned a "White" Boring mill?
Was this the only machine that you know of that they were used on?
Sincere thanks...gary moore
