Another very basic Question with cambam, and that is how do you move an object or part to be milled or engraved, around to different areas of the cambam field how do you do it. when I do a gcode on a drawing it sends my router to where the part was saved at, or the gcode is created frome where the part was drawn from. IE ( shark,Trex, files) I want to move them and then create the gcode from there.

my field of routing is small,

For CamBam version 0.802,

Select the object to move
Open the Transformation matrix
Select Transform from the drop-down list
Select the axis along which you wish to move the object
Input the distance (in units of measurement that you are using i.e. mm or inches) A negative number for X will move to the left, a positive to the right. A negative value for Y will move down the screen, positive will move up.
Click Apply
Click OK

On the menu bar at top of CamBam screen,
Select Edit->Apply Transformations
When warning dialogue box opens, select OK.

For the later versions of CamBam, simply hold down the shift key, select the object, and drag and drop.

Thank you so very much Bertram. You dont know how much you have helped me with the information you have given me. I am trying to learn Cambam while I am getting my cnc router setup to try to run a program. to try it out engraving something. I hope to return the favor sometime....
