So with Halloween coming up soon, I thought that I would share this video that was produced here at UCSC using our laser cutter.

Perhaps this will inspire a few of you to cut or mill a pumpkin of your own. If it does, post the results here :)

This whole project was masterminded by Ian Rickard (http://www.inio.org). I agree the rotary axis (also created with the laser cutter) is particularly cool.
Thanks! This was the last of a batch of pumpkins we cut. The rest were made as centerpieces/table numbers for a wedding (links to full size):

Definitely a cool use of a tool...
I went Tim Taylor style, used a Sawzall and Jigsaw. Pumpkins were done in about 3 minutes. :rainfro:
