I cannot believe how much time I have saved since I switched to SheetCam! I now can program for all the Burnys, Mach3s, Fanucs and Mazacs with one program on my laptop! Wow! My question is what are the system requirements for SheetCam? Operating system and memory, in particular. Thanks!

If I remember correctly, Sheetcam requires Windows XP (has also been known to run in vista). Not sure about minimum ram requirements though.
Also, Les is developing a new version called Sheetcam TNG and it will have both a windows and linux version.

you can download the betas for TNG at his web site www.sheetcam.com.

I know what you mean about it being a timesaver especially for stuff with a lot of curves etc.

It depends rather on what you are doing. Simple engineering type work doesn't use much power. Engraving text and complex curves on the other hand can use quite a lot of memory and processing power.

A min spec would be something like a P500 with 128Mb running Win2000. It should run pretty well on a 1.5GHz machine with 512Mb ram. You can use Windows 2000, XP or Vista. A decent 3D graphics card helps quite a lot.
