I've looked far and wide for one of these things and so far have come up empty. Grrr. Without it I can't lock the bearing in place. Not sure why the manufacturer would use such a fine pitch.
Unfortunately the tap is about $80 to make one. Any ideas? Tried Mcmaster and a host of other places.

Misumi, maybe. Threaded shaft collars or bearing nuts are good places to start. Then see if you can pull individual part numbers off of ballscrew assemblies there.

In case you need metric stuff in the future, try www.mdmetric.com (maryland metric - has to be close to you). I buy from them long distance all of the time.
Their web site is a bit over whelming, but on the phone, I can figure it out.
