Anybody ever seen/used one of these? Looks to be pretty well thought out and made.

wow that thing is pretty sharp! maybe its just me and my experience with larger machines but I would prefer the jog wheel instead of the joystick. But hey its still pretty damn cool!

Wow, that sure is awesome looking. All those great buttons and features, would never need to use it but wow. Cool.

Can't find one with a jog wheel that does much more than jog, and they all require a 2nd parallel port or modbus hardware.

If you're using Mach 3, have you checked out the Shuttle Pro 2?

It's USB and works excellent.

Only shuttle pro 2 I could find is a game controller.
Pendant arrived today. Very nice. All of the controls feel very precise, high quality. You can jog inc. by holding down the inc button while jogging with the joystick. Only thing missing is the ability to change the inc. jog step. One option is to change the jog speed (with the included buttons) so that it crawls and you have quite a bit of control. Almost as handy as an encoder wheel in that respect. Multiple axis moves, cycle start/pause, feedrate override, spindle override. I think it will very handy.

The Contour Shuttle Pro 2 is actually a video software controller, not a game controller but I think after seeing what you were willing to spend, you would have probably been disappointed with it as it's not a "heavy duty" unit like you have just purchased.

Don't get me wrong, the shuttle is a tough unit and many besides myself are using it as it's cheap and very versatile especially with Art's plugin (from Artsoft) to allow you to chose any funtion in Mach 3 for any button on the unit including macros that you may have written for your particular setup.

Some pics for you. Just a note, the labels are my doing, can't blame that on Contour lol!

Gotcha. I had some slush fund PayPal money to spend and a discount thingy from eBay so I figured I'd take a chance. It was relatively expensive, but is very well made and I think I can even resolve the one gripe I had by reconfiguring Mach3 keyboard mapping.
