We just bought a used Bridgeport VMC 760/22 CNC, but unfortunately it didn't come with too much information.
We haven't had too much trouble figuring out programming, picking up tools, etc.. or the basic controls. But we are at a point where we need larger files in our machine, and we can't figure out how to DNC it, or DNC from the floppy WHILE in the DX32 control.
We can exit to DOS, and copy files from the A:drive to the C:drive, and run them that way, but our programs are still much larger
We have tried to plug in a parallel port ZIP drive on the -A- port on the back of the machine, and when we run the IOMEGA driver file program "guest.exe"... the program seems to run fine, YET it does not assign the ZIP drive a letter.
So we are assuming that there is a "Parallel Port" issue in the CMOS configuration or something, yet we are not computer/hardware gurus.. so we are clueless.
We have a BOSS BPC-MC V.4.69/6.89.42 control/interface.
When we boot the computer/control it says "TYAN TRINITY 100 at B1.16c 092399"
The computer in the control is a Pentium-S 133Mhz.. and there appears to be available PCI slots on the motherboard, if we need any new hardware.
It has MS-DOS Version 6.20 running on it also.
Any help would be appreciated.
