Mike Nash 09-03-2008, 01:11 AM I've used the older Xylotex with VCarve Pro. I was running TurboCNC at the time and using the "G Code ATC Inch (*.tap)" post processor. There's also a specific Mach2/3 post processor. You will have to have machine controller software such as Mach 3 ($169), TurboCNC (shareware) or EMC2 (free) in addition to the VCarve Pro. The Mach 3 demo has a pretty low line count limit when considering v carving. Mach 3 needs Windows 2000 or XP, TurboCNC needs DOS and EMC2 needs linux. woox 09-07-2008, 01:28 PM I've used the older Xylotex with VCarve Pro. Do you know of a driver board that would work 100% with Vcarve? I read that Xylotex was one of the best but I dont want to waste my money knowing that it does not work. I am also using Nema23 motor's. (Here is the link to exact CNC machine I have: http://mckenzieschmidt.com/pages/hoboJrMain.htm) I appreciate your help! (And I have Mach3) ger21 09-07-2008, 02:36 PM The drives have nothing to do with the software you use. The software outputs a g-code file, that your control software needs to read. You need to make sure your control software will work with V-Carve Pro. Fortunately, V Carve pro will work with just about any control software. woox 09-07-2008, 02:43 PM The drives have nothing to do with the software you use.
