Hello All;

It's my first time here so please be kind !!
I came here to try and figure out what CNC mill I should buy, and I'm sure all newbies ask the same question.
I want to get a Bridgeport style mill, but I'm a bit confused as to the controller I should get. All the machines I'm looking at use the Proto-Trak controller, but there seems to be a lot of different models out there.Are there some to keep away from? Is this a reliable controller? Any advice would be appreciated.
Obviously I can't afford a new one, but I'm looking for something that isn't going to take me 10 years to figure out.
I don't need all the bells and whisles either, I'm just looking to upgrade from an Ex-Cell-O 602 that I now use, and would like to be able to machine contours.
You can get an idea of some of the stuff I do at www.geocities.com/dantechfab

Thanks, Dan
