i try to spiral interpolate but get alarms.(invalid axis). I can program a haas and a cincinnati and it works fine, but not the mori. I cant program any kind of thread mill operation,if i ever wanted to.
ive been told it was an option not bought ,but it can be turned on if you can find the paramater.
any suggestions?
thanks in advance

Hi i have mori seiki MV80 with a fanuc 11m and I get the same message when I try to
helical interpolate.

Are using the correct code?

Cylindrical Interpolation : G07.1

If you MDI G07.1 alone what does your control do/say?

Improper or Invalid G code means its not been purchased. Other errors usally mean it will work if programmed correctly.

Wrong answer, Ill try to find the right one.

My bad.

Helical is an option on most Mori verticals. Your only move here is to call Fanuc and order the option, which in most cases involves changing one parameter bit.

SO, unless you know someone with an option parameter list and the know-how to change it, you'll have to buy it.

What control do you have? 21m?

have you tried programming a standard G2 or G3 with I, J and Z - feed?
