I have a guitar body I need to carve and have not yet been able to figure out how to machine the 3d part in v17. I have done lots of 3d carving with 17 but this shape has me stumped. Attached is a jpg of the guitar.

You are going to have to do each rib section individually in order to get the contour you are after. It is kinda like pulling teeth in 17.
Just use the skin function on each ribbed area depicted on the drawing. It will take some time, but it will do it with some love.
