Hello Everyone !
Please help with the following:

Machine: BP,Series II, rigid-ram, ex Boss6, currently running under Mach3.

Is there any posibility to replace that original neumatic-operated-spindle-speed changer device, with a small 12v-DC-motor, instead the original equipped turbine? Remember, just by only removing the turbine and coupling the motor axis to the original worm axis.
I'm also intending to keep the "SPEED-Increase-Decrease" original push-button as an CW-CCW switch. I think this knob also operates on those two pneumatic-electric valves. Will this be possible to achieve?
(sorry for the bad english).
Thanks in advance!

Jerry7

Hi Chris.
Hey, thanks for the thread link!...really didn't note it.
Machine finally working fine and complete...how is yours...are you still running those bike parts on the mill? Throw some pictures of them for the crowd!
Be well buddy.

P.S. So that circuit from the air solenoids manage 24 or 12 volts? Just asking because of the fact of the series 2 in my case.

I believe the air solenoids are operated by 24v DC so if you can find a suitable sized 24v DC motor you should be able to disconnect the wiring to the air solenoid and reconnect it to your motor. Should be a reasonably easy modification.

My machine's alright, well kind of anyway, it missed a load of steps the other day have a look here http://cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62706

Here's the pegs I've been making. http://www.splatshop.co.uk/images/splat_footpegs.jpg
