I've posted a thread about a very early K2CNC prototype I'm trying to improve here:

http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62078

I'm kinda interested in the take of other K2 users. I'm kinda curious how they may do things differently these days. For example, I've read that they now use anti-backlash nuts. Kinda wondering if I could adapt those to my machine or now.

Thanks for looking!

It sounds to me that the motors are tuned too high. I guess that you could simply replace the nuts with the newer anti back lash style, provided that the screws are Acme thread. I have a K-2514 and it runs fine with delrin anti backlash nuts, they came as stock items. I use Mach 3 as a control software. Tuning utility is included based on distance traveled and accuracy. If you can't get them from K2 try doing a search here for them.
