Does anybody have experience with this machine? When power is applied the Alarm LED is on and the display idicates 01000100. Nothing changes when the clear memory tape and the system tapes are run. Is there a way to tell if the tapes are actually loading into the memory?
Any help would be appreciated.

The DWC90 that I used to work on had a Floppy drive instead of a tape. There were switches on the control cards that had to be set and cycled in a sequence to load the software. Also there was at least three disks plus e-packs. Also had to set it to display English instead of Japenese and inches instead of metric. Do you have any documentation for the machine? If so check chapter 5, system loading for the step-by-step procedure. They were known to corrupt the software and require reloading after several months.

Been awhile since I've done this (sold the machine in January) and I'm not positive what alarm you're speaking about. We had an 'H' generation machine. Generally speaking, when powered up, the W7 unit's screen would say something to the effect of, "W-7 UNIT NOT READY"...meaning?...that it had lost it's memory. Not the bubble memory...just the short term stuff that's kept intact by the battery that looked like a motorcycle battery in the cabinet under the screen. We'd have to break out the Auxillary Manual & reload the software, epaks & ballscrew comp tape. After the install of the software & etc....then you went through the process of changing to English, 4 or 5 place decimal, etc. If you contact me @ Videotech@indystart.com, I'll give you the contact info of my favorite Mits techie. He could give you the skinny on the fastest track. I shore do miss that 90H machine. I THINK that I still have MY old copy of that Aux Manual as well if you have a FAX to send that page too if you're interested.

Hello,
your water is too conductive, please change resin, check water resistivity sensor, and resin motor (running or not), or change your water, probably your water too dirty.

We have a CX20 which is very similar to the DWC-90. The U702 alarm in my book says to check thermal relays, meaning look for tripped overloads. Also I agree with checking the sensor, they often get dirty but do this with POWER OFF! The sensor and a setting for conductivity determine when to run the small pump to the DI tank. It should cycle on and off, not run constantly.
