Hi All,
I've bought a clean Boxford 260 VMC from a set of photos (of the top only) and I need to collect it next week. I'm told that it is around 1.4 metres tall and weighs around half a ton (500kg). Both of these figures surprised me.
Does anyone have some accurate dimensions and weight info for the unit? Looking at the pictures it would appear that the mill MIGHT be sat on some kind of pedestal, otherwise there is no way it is anything like 1.4m tall. If it is, does the mill itself come off this pedestal easily? Would I be able to move it with help from one other person and fit it in a decent sized hatchback (Land Rover Discovery) or is an engine hoist and van more appropriate?
