Does anyone have the mill?

Are their kits for extending the y-axis as 46mm (1.18") is bleeding terrible, I saw one site the guy got 66mm (2.59") but he had no info. 133mm (5.26") x-axis isn't bad but I would prefer something in the 90mm (3.5") range on the y-axis.

Any sites to buy the y-axis kits from if they exist? if not someone should start milling them as im sure every proxxon owner would buy one.

Thanks!

The problem isn't with the Y table being made longer, thats pretty straightforward.

The problem is the spacer/extension then needed to cantilever the Z head forward, adding more throat so that you could use the larger Y axis travel.
Unfortunately, this will likely destroy what very little rigidity that small device had in the first place.
I think the Proxxon is an under-appreciated little tool for some purposes, but it has definite limits and they just really can't be exceeded. There just isn't that much there to work with and that zinc and plastic frame isn't up to being reinforced.

If a Proxxon does what you want except for the travel, a Sherline is really your best bet. Still a light little portable machine but with a lot more capacity and flexibility than you have now.
