I need some help to upgrade a cnc router. The MAchine is a Biesse - (italian) the ref is ROVER. It has 14 tools . Uses 3 axis servo controlled. Now is working with an old program that uses 3 1/2" disquette, is not easy to work with.
We want to change it to work with Mach from a PC .
I have some experience with Step motors (builded 2 4x8 plasma tables.)
Any help will be fine.0
Some pics of the machine...
Thanks
Luis

yours has the 481 controller the same as mine.
it would be extremely hard to convert to mach etc!
if its working use it as it is.
i have a program to write gcode to floppys on a pc which will read direct in 481 controller.
i also have working postprocessors for alphacam and bobcad. see my other posts for details and what it can do.
if you do decide to upgrade il buy your old controller from you as a spare!

Battwell, yes I was looking closely and ..yes its a very hard work!!! The machine is fine, Biesse only sell it for panels and boring, but the machine can make a lot of things with all that tools !!!!
I dont have the electric manuals, can I get it from you?
And also about the program you use to write the gcode for the floppy , I tried with the sheetcam but it doesn´t work
Thanks
Luis
