Hi All. Has any one out there being able to generate 550VAC 3- phase to run an Hardinge HLV-H lathe from 230VAC single phase? Lots of VFD and inverters out there - unable to locate one for 550V.

JAMES dcarlson 06-07-2008, 08:26 AM James: I generate 240v/3ph and then use transformer for higher voltage. Don briantej 06-07-2008, 12:40 PM Hi Don, Thanks for your comment! What type of vfd/inverter and transformer are you using. Make and model numbers would be very useful. I've read that with VFD you can't use a transformer to step up or down but with a sine wave inverter you can.
