So, I've been hanging around this forum for a while and reading up all the good things. I purchased rockcliff plans back in November or December, and have been studying ever since. I've been little busy but now I guess I will have more time so I can seriously consider the build.

Yesterday was a milestone in my project. I ordered Xylotex 4 axis kit and it is getting shipped today. I originally was thinking of going the cheap route and building my own controllers from PMinMO design, I have successfully done similar projects in the past so I'm not scared. I got fed up with hunting for electronics and parts, I realized that counting my time, the savings are not all that great. So I decided to go with hobbycnc kit, as it is cheap!!. Just by accident I went onto Xylotex site and I noticed that he is running a sale and a 4 axis fully assembled kit is only $380 which is about the same price I would end up paying for hobbycnc. I rather have a bipolar motor and driver rather than unipolar, it was a no brainer, and no soldering involved.

Anyway, I'm basing my CNC on rockcliff flying gentry design, with the rails on the outside, like the one made by rockcliff in the other post. I attached few pictures of my quick sketches, its not elaborate or anything, just quick design of the general idea. the size of the table is quite large, it's 36"x72"

so, let me know what you guys think.
