Hi, I am trying to switch from mach-3 to emc2. I have emc2 configured and jogging properly, but I can't load a g-code that doesn't have errors. I have been trying the basic mpfan fanuc post processor. Any ideas how to output the .ngc files that emc2 wants? Thanks in advance.

MPFAN should have been close. The gcode language in emc differs a bit from straight fanuc. Some errors might be caused by how you're creating the toolpaths. Cutter compensation (G41, G42) being an example.

If the problem is syntax type errors try searching for EMCMPFAN . A search of this forum turns up a few hits. I don't know how good (or bad) those posts might be as I no longer have access to mastercam..

edit/ There's also one here
http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Cam
called emc.zip. At the bottom of the .pst file it claims to work with major version 9.

Maybe someone here is actively using mastercam?
