Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone out there can answer a few questions about an old AHC. I'm just finishing up the process of converting one to cnc and I'm wondering about 2 things.
First, was there an auto lube setup on these. I didn't really bother with figuring out where all of the hoses went... more or less hacked them out as quick as possible. But, there were some fairly small diameter hoses that were connected to a valve that had something like "metered" or "auto" on the label and it got me wondering if these things are supposed to way lubed and more importantly if there is any lube in the spindle.
Secondly, any idea how to use the old barfeeders? It's the one that's just a tube with a single air inlet on the side. I'm not really a machinist so I don't have any experience with any barfeeders and this thing has got me pretty baffled. One end has a cap on it... there's shafts/rods floating around in it... seems to be some sort of collet on the other end.
Anyhow, any help is appreciated.
THanks,
Chris
