Hi....

When i make some text in solidedge2d e.g. " This is a test ",,,, and save it
as dxf. file,,,, then open the dxf file in lazycam, the spacing is abnorm...

E.g. " T his is a tes t ".....

Anyone knows why this happens????

Either Solid Edge is writing the .dxf wrong, or LazyCAm is reading it wrong. Post a sample .dxf and I'll look at it.

Hi

I have loaded it in lazycam, and still i have some spacing problem...

Could it be because i only use a lazycam thats is incorporatet
in the MACH3 demo v. R2.63????

I have purchased mach3 yet, just try it out right now.

I'd send the .dxf to Brian Barker at Mach3 and explain the problem to him. It appears to be a LazyCAM problem. But I don't use LazyCAM, so can't check.

Oh thanks.....

I have in the meantime tryed the same with A9CAD freeware 2d drafting software, and saved the text-string as dxf, loaded in Lazycam, and with same spacing problem.... So my conclution is also that the problem is in
Lazycam....

I forgot to say that I checked it in AutoCAD. Since Autodesk defines the .dxf file format, imo if it opens fine in AutoCAD, then the .dxf is OK. The only thing I noticed is that the justification (Top Left?) is not the same as the default in AutoCAD (Left). But that was the only thing out of the ordinary. That's all I changed in the version I posted.
