I built a lathe assembly to fasten to my Soylva machine. I am using Autocad to generate the drawings. If I create a profile in 2d and rotate it on the X so the Y profile is now in Z, the post processors I've tried won't accept it. Can anyone help tell me how to get a Z profile as in (baluster) into Mach3?

Thanks

Create the code for X and Y, then use find and replace in a text editor and swap the Y's for Z's.

I had thought of that but wondered if that would allow me to control of the stepdowns, say .05 per pass?

Forget that last statement. Duh.. do the offsets on the Y to equal your stepdowns and then do the find and replace. Got it...thanks.
