I have a SMT CNC Lathe. The machine was retrofitted with a General Numerics control about the mid-80s'. The machine can be had for the Rigging cost to remove it. It also has an Extra Turret. We bought the machine new around 1979.

I have a friend here in Sherbrooke, Québec, who sells homemade CNC routers. The machines are intended for RC (plane) modelists and are very affordable. You can cut wood (slowly) and soft material with them. They use a dremel as a rotary tool. The work area is about 14 inches x 36 inches I think. The resolution of the machine is good enough for RC plane parts.

If this is what you are looking for, just say so or send me a PM and I will give you his EMail address :)

I'm in Saskatoon and have an X2 mini mill with gecko drives and steppers, nook ball screws, belt drive, stand, and fully enclosed electronics cabinet for sale. It has very low running time on it.

A friend of mine has a small one (19"x13" table) for sale, complete with a PC and licensed software. It has a Roto-Zip type spin saw for a spindle. He doesn't use it since he got one with a 5' x 12' table.
I am near London, Ontario. Shoot me a message if interested...
