The tool post I have on my new lathe will not automatically retract the clamps. Whatever is inside that normally does this either broke or wore out. I already sprayed a ton of wd40 in there to see if the would help, and it did, but only a bit. I cant find anything on the Dorian site to take this tool post apart. It is the sd25axa tool post. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx

Depends on the age. Dorian at one time was an exact copy of the Aloris.. but for various legal reasons had to change their design.
Early version had a hollow shaft under the locking lever. That hollow shaft unscrews from the body bringing the worm shaft with it. (this style has the sliding tapered gib, Aloris style
Later version is just a cam that retracts a portion of the dovetail, and clamps the holder. As I recall (poorly) that one had some allen screws on the bottom that once removed lets the whole thing come apart.
Having said.... call Dorian Tool in Texas and ask.
