I have a Bridgeport R2E4 with a boss nine controller. I recently purchased Bobcad Version 19. And am having problems with my rs232 cable connection. Can anyone tell me the proper pin out so that I may build a cable.
Thank You,
Larry

Thanks for the tech docs. I'm also looking for control or ascii codes for the Boss 9. Luckily there was a print out taped to the machine that had a few codes when we bought it. If you have any specific information on using NCLite by Cadem, that would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Phil

Jose, Try testing your communication up/download using the windows terminal program with your cable plugged into port A on the mill, (terminal.exe), it came with Windows 3.1, it works with all versions of windows, similar to hyper terminal on newer windows but much simpler to setup and use. To check or reset the baud rate on the mill, push the option key until you see the baud rate. Set the terminal communication settings to match the baud rate you selected usually 4800,7,E,1. On the mill you will use the Edit function for the A port, just push the load/clear/edit button until it says edit, then push execute. You should see Boss9 Edit> on the terminal screen, that would mean the cable is good and all your settings are correct, at that point you can type KI <enter> and send the program (send text file) to the mill from the terminal program. The B port is for the Load function using the Bridgeport Ez-Link communication software, which is the best software to use on the Boss8/9 controls.

I know MasterCam sends programs (under 11K, and DNC) successfully via port B, I believe port A to be used for editing pgms directly, in the machine. Any changes I make are in my CAD pgm, the resent through port B using the same settings stated by versitech, Baud rate,7,E,1, so I don't even use port A.
