View Full Version : Metric Ball screw suppliers
marting 08-16-2004, 01:51 AM Hi, does anyone out there know of any metric ball screw (or acme) suppliers in Europe? The kind I require must have the following:
Lead = 10mm
number of threads = 1
Max Length = 1000mm
Screw Diameter = 16 - 20mm
I have been searching for quite a while on the web and have found all sorts of sizes, types and measures but not the kind I'm looking for. Could anyone shed some light please.
Thanks
Marten G

Dingo745 06-14-2007, 06:32 AM G'day,
I might be wrong but I think Rod from W.A. has just got a new X3 and is retrofitting that, so you might be in luck. Here is his email leerod@tpg.com.au
Drop him a line and find out.

Deane
The Blight 06-14-2007, 04:00 PM This thread was 3 years old..
But in case anyone wants to know where to get ballscrews of this kind, check out http://www.metallstore.de/
And I'm wondering why you replied to this thread instead of starting a new.

marting 06-18-2007, 07:52 AM HI ironDigit,
what are the complete dimensions of the ball screws and how many do you have? I might be interested to store them for my next cnc.
regards
marting 06-18-2007, 07:53 AM What I meant with comlete dimensions is nut diameter and length + screw lengths.

alexccmeister 06-18-2007, 09:25 PM Try this site, lots of ballscrews and nut to choose from and they are all in metric.
http://stores.ebay.com/Marchant-Dice-Ltd
Download their PDF catalogue. Lots more info there.
ironDigit 06-21-2007, 12:11 PM the ballscrews i have lying arund here are of the following specs.:
total length : 100cm
total travel : 60cm and 90cm
lead per turn : 20mm
screw diam. : 1cm/1.5cm
nut diam. : 3/4cm
thes are ground screws and were originally installed in a pick and place machine at one of the local electronics manufacturers before the factory was shut down.
they come complete with both bearing ,bearing blocks and a toothgearpulley.
for now i can not think of any other details i could/should note but don't hessitate to PM me for more specs.
i still have another 5pieces with the above specs. and i can get my hand on some other ones wich had a finer lead ike 10mm per turn.
Mrting i already PM"ed you
sry for the late reply guys(working late shift lately i'm no machinist by trade so i have to work nights even)
CHEERS to many cnc-projects to come guys !
I'M up for trading also : if you got some extra servo's with controllers and a breakout board you got my attention
ironDigit 06-26-2007, 04:46 AM cmon guys no reply at all ?!
there must be some1 out there that will take these babies of me hands so i can get meself some rails finally ! haha wouldn't that be nice.
i'm just headed for a 300km trip pikking up some servo's personally.
If any1 appreciates i'll post some pics of the screws and while i'm at it the servo's this evening.
marting did they not adress your needs ? if so, pls tell me why.I hope its not the fact that they are single threaded or the 20mm pitch might be a lil steep to you.
The Blight 06-26-2007, 05:35 AM 10mm is quite a bit and 20 is way too much for me. I might want a couple with 10mm pitch, but how much do you want for them? And some pictures might be good too.
