Thanx ziptie007 03-25-2008, 01:37 PM well since no one has replyed maybe I'll be one of the 1st to try it out. I'm also considering a down draft booth or even a enclosed room with some exhast fans. jimcolt 03-31-2008, 01:14 PM ziptie, I have a combination downdraft and water table on mine. The water is 4" deep and about 10" below the slats.....the water traps about 60% of the particles....I have a blower that pulls the rest of the smoke from above the water yet below the slats. My machine is in storage right now.....I don't have pictures. I simply made a 14" deep box that hangs under the machine...that is water tight. Works great. Jim emoran 09-01-2009, 11:00 PM ziptie007 I made a simple 4x4 ft table that fits under the cutting area with a 2 inch deep tray with only 1 inch of water which makes it easy to pick out the parts. The water is approximatly 4 inches below the grate. Also use a fan that directs the smoke outside. My computer system is inside a sealed booth with windows so I can view the PlasmaCam machine in operation.Works great !(nuts) emoran cowleym 09-07-2009, 03:18 PM Hi Ziptie, we have supplied a few waterbeds which work well. no fume extraction, just 5" depth of water under the plate with about 0.5" air gap. A small amout of fume sneaks out when cutting near the side of the plate and there is a bit of steam, but cheap and easy. Cheers Mike I was going to upload a photo but the manage attachment button doesnt seem to work so I will stick it in the gallery instead. bkilby 10-26-2009, 10:49 AM I've built a water bed as well as a hood to extract the left over smoke. I'll get some pics up shortly. Next on the agenda is to create my own grating. Something stronger than PC sells so I can slide the heavier steel across the grating without it bending. dukes57@295.ca 11-10-2009, 08:19 PM I have a mg metalmaster 6by15' downdraft table that has been converted to a waterbed, lots of welding no leaks. The table uses plasmacam and has no problems other then its smokey as @$%#, use a hood as well, direct vent outside and you'll be happier and healthier. |
