I downloaded the Turbo Cad/Cam trial and when I tried to install it said I need to have TurboCad V8 professional or later installed. I sent at least 2 emails to IMSI and never received a reply...
I thought Turbo Cad/Cam was a stand alone product?.. It never mentioned anything else on the site..
Can someone shed some light on this.

The package I bought had Turbo Cad V9.0 Pro in it. Are you just trying to install the Cam plugin? If so, you will need at least V8 but it will not work with V10.

I downloaded the demo and got the same thing. Apparently you either have to have V9 or a demo of it I guess for it to work.

I don't know about the demo. Got mine on CD cause I wanted the manuals with it, which had V9 Pro. The Cam part is just a plugin for the V9 or V9 Pro I'm pretty sure. Won't work without it.

Before you buy this, you should check out this link. I had to go find it again but the price is the best I have seen for Turbocad/cam version 2.

Alan,
That is a real good price for it. That is about what I paid from IMSI but they don't have that special running anymore.

I actually don't use the Cam portion. I use Dolphin for 2 1/2 D and Visualmill 5.0 Pro for 3d. I also have Meshcam which is a fairly nice 3d toolpath generator for stl. files.
I do have Turbocad 9 pro for some of my Cad work and like it for that.
I just remembered that it was a good price for the cad/cam combo and wanted to share the link.
