Greetings: I am interested in manufacturing wood flooring. I currently have a sawmill and kiln operation, that does around 10,000 board feet per year. Thanks in advance to any and all that can help to steer me in the right direction.

woodmaster has setups to do flooring, surface and cut tongue and grooves at same time using 2 routers attached to outlet of machine.
i like the 18" planer/sander i have, heavy machine. it planes down the wood from my sawmill with no problems
(air dried) no kiln here yet
most of my planed wood is for home use, wife keeps me busy with it, currently making molding

If your thinking large quantities you will need to look at Four Sided Molders.

At least in CA, there are a lot of homes where the floor is a thick concrete slab. (8 + inches) For this application, our local flooring company recommended using a veneer on top of a sort of MDF like material. They offer both "solid" and "laminated" versions and price was not the issue. It had to do with moisture management.
