Dear All, i am looking to buy a CNC wood router that is able to do 3D carvings on wood. Would anyone be able to build me one? I am currently based in Singapore.

What size and what price range are you looking for. I bought a machine a little over a year ago from a new company who I can not say anything but good about. The machine is a delt drive with 1200 ipm cutting capability. Its a table top model for sure but is very powerful, reliable and the customer service is out of this world. If you have ?'s the owner is right there to get them answered and if he doesn't know he'll find out for you. How much are you looking to spend and how fast do you want this CNC to cut? I have a CNC I built that I'm looking to sell it can cut at 40 ipm and it travels: X 35" Y 25" Z 6"... Let me know if your interested...

The German company also have their own site cnc-step.com and sell via Ebay the UK site charges the same prices and is in English, some parts of the other 2 sites are in German.

Any 3 axis cnc router can do that. I think the software will be the problem. There are programs that specialize in 3D sign making and decorations but they are fairly expensive. V-carve and ArtCAM come to mind, but I am sure there are others.

Sears sells ( in the US ) the Compucarve cnc router that comes with software for around $ 1,900.00 US. I have only seen the ads, so I really don't know how well made it is.

Have you been to SimLim Tower? On the 5th floor is a very "Industrial" second hand shop - I'll dig thru photos I have and try and post one. The owner there can be very helpful in helping you put together components - if he knows you want to buy/spend money! Last year he had a 12x12x4 inch working area 3 axis system very reasonable.
Might be worth a ride down to Little Inda for lunch anyway!

i bought the componets to build one from machine tool camp , I m happy with what I bought . The soft ware you get with it is desk cnc which is functional and cheap but a ***** to figure out I built 4x 8 foot table with servos for around 5 grand . I did not follow there table design which is better but much more money.

Dear All...... thank you so much for all the advise. But infortunately.... im based in Singapore..... and most of you guys are based in the US.... just the freight cost will cost a bomb i believe....
