Hello,
I have a Bridgeport Series II CNC, it has the original Textron operator controls and I almost have it working... It powers up, spindle works, controls work, MDI mode input works, if you enter G21, the little metric indicator lights up... now this is where it gets interesting. X Y and Z axis all work in setup mode, and in MDI with G00... but once you try to use G01 ... nothing. G02 ... nothing. pretty much, everything works except for the interpolation stuff where it has to calculate the exact path at a specific feed rate or something... HELP!
Im kinda lost as to where to start... maybe a logic board or something? I have the maintenance manual, but I'm not exactly an electrical engineer, so I am kinda trying to figure out the diagrams as I go...
And that actually leads me to a point which might be of some import... when I got the machine, the T2 transformer in the power supply box had all of its din rail terminal blocks crushed, so when I reconnected everything(for 230vac), my inexperience in reading diagrams led me to believe that the placement of the wires on the diagram were the placement of the wires actually coming out of the transformer. after turning it on and finding out that none of axis moved at all, I then found out that I had read the diagram wrong and swapped the placement of leads 2 and 3 on all 3 of X Y and Z transformers on that T2 din rail, and when I switched them to the correct position, thats when it *mostly* all started working... and thats still my current state
