I just aquired this XY table....the intention is to use a plasma cutter with it.
it has an Allen Bradley 8400 controller and the motors are I belive Allen bradley servos.
What I would really like to do if possable is upgrade the controller and if neccessary the drive boards.
Is this change possable? how does one go about such a change?
I am a cnc programmer in my day job and would like to know more about how all this stuff works.....no better way than to throw yourself into it then dig yourself out I guess.
