I want to cut a pinewood derby car on a CNC mill. What feeds/speeds would you recommend for a .25 ball nose endmill?

Glidergider 02-26-2008, 09:01 PM It totally depends on the quality of your mill. I'm curious what CAM software are you using? andedwa 02-29-2008, 07:56 AM Haas VF2, 15000RPM spindle. I'd say you could cut as fast as you want. 100 in/min should be easy. 1/4 inch bits can cut pretty fast, and the wood chips will fly. On my home built router I cut at 40 in/min.
