I picked up 4 linier encoders that I am trying to re-use. I am trying to getthe pinout so I can wire them up. When I google Litton, the web site says that they have been shut down.

The part number on the encoder is:
Litton Percision Products
MSA 554 52o 1 so 2

I pulled them out of a precision machine that my company was getting rid of.

Does anyone out there have a link?

Thanks

The output is a 5 vold sine wave, I will have to do a schmitt trigger to provide inouts to MACH 3 fpr position.

Hi

The company is German and appears now to be called LTN

I found their site eventually and it has data sheets for all their products, including the rotary encoder I have.
If your servo is now obsolete, as my encoder was, they list replacement items and hopefully the pinouts etc will be carried forward as mine were.
