I have a tree 1050 with a yaskawa spindle drive and dyna path 50 controller
When i do a tool change from the high speed range with a tool in the spindle goes out of orient and i get an alarm, this doesn't happen with the tool carraige empty or in low speed range.I just had the spindle drive gone over hoping that was the problem. This is driving me crazy, any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure it isn't necessary to change the speed to low range before toolchange?
If it is normally possible in both ranges, then check the spindle rpm parameters for finding M19.

Bob, spindle orientation must be dead on. If it's not the carousel will rotate it. It's not as critical in low gear because of the stiffness of the spindle. The tool carousel pocket not being on centerline can also cause it to rotate the tool.

The tool carousel pocket not being on centerline can also cause it to rotate the tool. This is correct.. We have 4 1050's. One thing I've run into the the oreintation location of course but these machines are also pretty sensitive on the tension of the encoder belt. Most of the time this will cause over shoot. Make sure the belt is moderatly snug. and that the encoder is tite. When exaclty is this happening? During the actual orentation process or when the carousel comes out?
