Some of you may know that I recently acquired a Series 1 V2XT. After correcting the Z axis homing problem, installing a new monitor (the old one was too fuzzy to read the menus)- I now want to figure out the best way to create toolpaths for parts.

So far, I'm thinking to draw the part in AutoCAD, use something like CAMBAM to create toolpaths and then see what happens when I cut wax.

Someone mentioned some software that used to be produced by Bridgeport called EZ mill. Is that a better choice, and if it is, where would one find it since BPT has gone through a change in ownership?

Thanks for the advice. Luke

If you can, I'd use Mach3. It's fantastic software that can do most everything i've seen the big mill software do.

Google EZCAM and www.ezcam.com comes up. EZMILL was part of EZCAM. After EZCAM, Bridgeport was married to FEATURECAM.
