i am putting together a torchmate 1 with auto hieght control.

bought a used machine refurbished it.

plugged it in and realized that i was missing the machine interface.

is there anything i can do to get this thing up and running? or is there something i can build or modify to do the same thing? and do i have to buy the torchmate interface? is there a cheaper, better, or used option?

i really need the machine up and running.

also is there another software package i can use other than the torchmate CAD? one that is cheap or free?

i want to get their software for the toolpathing but i am on a tight budget right now. need to get the thing up and running very soon to make some parts for a job.

thanks for the help and sorry for sounding like a cheap miserly novice.

The answer is yes for both of your questions.

I can not tell you exactly how to create your own interface box, but I can tell you about the CAD software. The Torchmate drivers software will accept DXF files from any CAD system, the cuts may not be ordered, offset, or have lead-ins, but the drivers software does not care.
