heres another cyclone seperator.
i exhaust my dust outside, so when i bought my dust collector, i just put the bag thingy off to the side.

the other day i had a chunk of wood go throu the fan and thought i needed to get the big stuff out of the airstream, this is what i came up with.

i used the metal center of my bag thing, and cut a doughnut to go on top, it just rests there so i can pick it up and look in. i wen t and got a trashcan, but it was collapsing, so did like joe did in cnc and cut another ring to go in the trashcan.

seems to work ok so far. now i need more 4" hose
