I am looking into purchasing a BP type mill, G9902 from Grizzly. I would like to know what you think of the machine if you have had hands on experience with it.
Just to note I will be converting to CNC.

Also, what is the difference between the boxed ways versus the dovetail ways other that the obvious shape?

box ways are better for heavier cutting as they dampen vibration better, due in large part to stiction (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiction) from their large surface contact, most heavy Vmc's use box ways while high speed machines use linear bearings. This all means the mill will be quieter and leave a better finish during heavy milling, compared to a dovetail machine.

Wow, no one with experience with this mill. How about the G9901?
