Hello CNC Community. My name is John, and I am a senior Mechanical Engineering student at Ohio Northern University. As part of graduation we must complete a year long design project. My group took on the task of designing a 3 axis CNC Mill. The machine is comparable to a bridgeport in size (7' tall, 2600 lbs). We are heading to the Westec show to present our project the first week of April and we need a way to get our machine out there. Is anyone from the midwest region (prefferably Ohio or southern Michigan) going to the show and have room on their truck to take our machine out west. Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How about looking thru the Exhibitors (http://www.sme.org/cgi-bin/esc-exhib-list.pl?&&001742&000007&020727&&SME&#E) list, & contacting anyone in your area, I see in your profile that your in Lebanon, OH. I did a quick search & found that Extrude Hone (http://www.sme.org/cgi-bin/new2-evget-company.pl?&&2412&001742&&editrec=WT08-79784&) ( http://www.extrudehone.com/index.php ) located in Cincinnati will be at the show, maybe since it's a college project they'll sponsor you?

Wouldn't hurt to ask them.

I would think that you could find a lot of folks in your area.

Here (http://www.sme.org/cgi-bin/membhtml.pl?/memb/ohio.htm&&&SME&) is a list of SME Chapters in Ohio. I see your college is on the list.

Sorry I'm not much help, other than links. :)
