With tax season upon us, and a decent return expected, I'm considering CNC machines.
I'd like one under $2000 that can route PCBs (through-hole required, but any level of SMT would be a major plus), engrave aluminum panels, and if possible be used for making small parts (like gears. 4-axis would be great, but at the price I want, not sure it's possible. Option to upgrade to 4th axis later would be nice). Also, it must be a somewhat small machine. I only have a small room for this machine, so it can't take up a huge footprint. And it should be a relatively sturdy machine, with a frame preferably made of aluminum/steel/other sturdy materials.
The machine I'm currently looking at is a CNC mill based on the Taig 2019CR-ER. It's running $1500 at this (http://deepgroove1.com/cnc%20mill.htm)website.
Has anyone dealt with this guy (Deepgroove1) before? If so, what do you think of the quality and support?
Are there any other machines on the market that any of you can point me to that will do what I want for the price I can afford?
I'm looking forward to hearing from some of you.
Thanks!
