Hi Guys

First post here.. The Sprutcam forum is so slooooow.. I figured I'd try my luck elsewhere.

I bought a set of corner rounding end mills, but these types of tools are not listed in the sprutcam tool library (sandvik tool library).

Now I wouldn't mind creating the end mill model, but there doesn't seem to be anything to make the tool radius in sprutcam's tool creation.

also, are there any comprehensive tool libraries I can download to complement the sandvik that came with Sprutcam?

any user created these tools already maybe :) ?

I have a 1/32, 1/16, 3/32, 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2" versions of these end mills.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that Sprut has implemented corner rounding cutters yet.

That's what I was afraid of. I have an email into Yuri at Sprutcam, we'll see what he says. If they haven't, I only see two options:

- rounding the corners using multiple passes of another (which one would be best?) type of mill, which is going to take for ever and will never give me the smotth finish I'd get with a corner rounding end mill,

or

-dumping sprutcam for MasterCam (and ask for a refund, or wait another few years/months -?- until they decide to implement this :( ).

Gabe,

Did you see Dave's reply on the Sprut Tech user forum? Looks like I was wrong and SprutCAM does have a corner-rounding end mill. Apparently that was added in SC2007 as I am almost positive it was not available in SC 4. It is only available in 3 different machining ops. One of those is 2-1/2 chamfering which is probably the op that makes the most sense, if I understand what you want to do with the cutter.

I haven't been able to find dovetail or keyway cutters in SC2007 yet - maybe those will be added in a future update.
